| About the Family |
Hockey, farming and music, along with the various personalities, abilities and dispositions make up who we are.
Despite our everyday struggles, failures and imperfections, the common thread that binds us together is the gift of Salvation that God has given to us through the acceptance of His Perfect Son, Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross. Our desire is that God will use us in whatever capacity He chooses in order to share this message of Grace...whether it be through singing, sharing, dancing or goofing off!
Music has been a part of our heritage as Dad's Father (Lloyd) and Uncle (Lorne) sang, played multiple instruments, and directed many groups. Dads three older siblings (Clare, former member of Joyful Noise, Marilyn and Jungle Jim, former downhill racer and original member of the Crazy Canucks) also sang together from a young age while Grandpa accompanied them. Mom sang with her family (Parents Joe and Bertha Frentz and siblings Ron, Darlene, Barry and Brem) and in various groups throughout school and Bible College as music was an integral part of her upbringing as well. With music in the home from a young age, it was only natural that it infiltrated our lives as we grew. We all took piano and eventually branched out to different instruments as well. As a family, we sang at home, at church and eventually at some local events. We continued to play hockey during the winter and sing and farm together in the summer while still training for hockey with our Uncle Jim. As the years progressed the family began getting asked to sing more frequently, and collectively we prayed that if the Lord opened venues to sing at and provided songs to sing, we would do our best to keep at it. In the summer of 2007 both individually and collectively, all the members of the family felt that God was calling us away from the hockey at a junior/professional level and toward the farming and singing on a more full-time basis. Although we don’t ultimately know where this will all lead, we’re thankful that we serve a God who does. We are also so blessed and thankful for you- our friends and family who have so faithfully held us up in prayer and supported us in so many ways as we’ve journeyed this road together. We’ve met so many wonderful people at the different places we’ve sang and your encouragement has meant more to us than you will ever know. We look forward to when our paths will cross again! |
