Dusty is the second oldest of the Hunter Clan and was born December 13th, 1982. Dusty married the love of his life on December 29, 2007. Being his only girlfriend, they joke that Suzanne is the BEST and WORST he ever had. Dusty and Suzanne spent the first few months of their marriage in Calgary as Suzanne was finishing up her schooling, and are now residing in the Shaunavon area. For most of his life, Dusty considered himself a hockey player. He grew up playing minor hockey in Shaunavon until the age of 13. He played on a number of rep teams before he went to Caronport where he played his last two years of minor hockey with the Cougars. After that he played for a short stint with the Kelowna Rockets before he settled in with the Saskatchewan Junior A, Melville Millionaires where played for 3 seasons. The next season, Dusty was able to attend the Toronto Roadrunners training camp in the AHL. He then headed south to play in the CHL with the Oklahoma City Blazers and the San Angelo Saints. It was while playing in San Angelo that life took a sudden turn. While forechecking in a game in Memphis, a stray stick directly hit his right eye causing major sight loss and inflicting damage including a detached retina. Despite time, rest and numerous surgeries, the injury insisted that Dusty hang up his skates and quit playing the game he loved. He headed back to Saskatchewan to heal and work on the farm with his Dad. Dusty has always had a keen interest in music so when he got the chance to go to Bible school in Calgary and take music, he jumped at it. He was able to pursue his singing, drumming as well as get his feet wet in song writing (and lets be honest...living in the same city as his (then) girlfriend had NOTHING to do with the fantastic year it was) Ultimately, Dusty desires Gods will for his life and looks forward to what lies ahead in life, farming and singing. He is most of all eternally grateful for what Christ did for him on the Cross.
